Loefah has been one of the key and most successful figures in that movement. Having started his career as one of early dubstep’s pioneering producers and part of the Digital Mystikz collective, he became frustrated with the genre’s limitations, so began playing and releasing tracks (on his label Swamp81) that stripped away all excess fat to leave only bass and itchy drum machine rhythms. CHUNKY (Swamp81/Norwood Soul Patrol/Hoya:Hoya)

In the musical metropolis that is Manchester, Chunky has long been one of the hardest working MC/DJ/Produer's on the circuit. Performing alongside the many itinerant ‘A-Listers’ passing through the city each week soon brought him to the attention of True Tiger, Loefah, Pearson Sound and many more. Since then, Chunky’s stomping grounds have been ever-expanding and he is now resident MC for Swamp81, True Tiger and Hessle Audio, a side of which has made him one of Fabric’s most frequent performers.

BLACKFOOT PHOENIX (Boiler Room London/NTS)

...and then, he just showed up in Berlin one day to play an unannounced set at a TMS night at Pride Warehouse few years back. Vibe was goood.

Afterwards we found out that Blackfoot Phoenix is a day 1 member of the original Boiler Room London family, is involved with a monthly show on NTS Radio and supports some of the dopest regulars in London, like 'Work it' and such. He's coming to Kreuzfriedrichs to host one of our stages and play some fresh tunes for you through the infamous iRevelation soundsystem.

Everything nice. We're looking forward to meet the brother again.

The Sick Girls DJ team started out in 2004, playing all the stuff that they could not hear anywhere else in Techno-Berlin at the time.Just to have something to dance to. And it worked out better than they thought...Nowadays they play gigs all around the world and can look proudly at their successful party series Revolution N°5 which introduced a newclub sound to the city that is now overall established. They brought acts like Spankrock, Radioclit, Virus Syndicate or Mumdance to Berlin for the first time and played alongside most of their favorite artists like Dizzee Rascal, M.I.A., Roll Deep, Buraka Som Sistema, DJ/Rupture, The Bug, Wiley, TTC, Telepathe, Modeselektor or Shaggy (omg!).
